Frequently asked questions

Am I suitably qualified?

I am a Chartered Physiotherapist and a member of the Health Professions Council.

Do I need a Doctor's referral?

Any patient can book an appointment with myself without a Doctor's referral. However some insurance companies may require a referral letter before physiotherapy treatment commences. It is therefore advisable that if you have private medical cover you contact your insurers first to check your policy requirements.

Can I park at the clinic and is it wheelchair accessible?

Parking is available either outside the house or on Warham road at busy periods. There are no steps but a ramp to access the front of the premises. This is wheel chair accessible.

What do I need to wear?

You may be comfortable bringing shorts to change into and a vest type top. You will be asked to undress to a level that I can assess you fully and some of my treatments can be performed through light clothing. Your privacy and dignity will be maintained at all times.

Can I Self Pay?

If you do not have Health Insurance cover, I will see you on a self pay basis, and you do not need a Doctor's referral for this.

How can I Pay?

For self pay patients I accept Cash or Cheque.

What if I cannot attend my appointment?

A cancellation fee may be charged if 24 hours notice is not given, please contact me ASAP if you are unable to attend a pre-booked appointment.
